Annemarie has been performing throughout the bay area and beyond in a wide variety of venues, from jazz and cabaret clubs to theaters to concert halls.
In youth, she also studied the violin for many years and performed with several youth and community orchestras, achieving positions of concerto concert soloist and concert master.
She studied voice and acting in college, graduating from UC Davis with an honors degree in dramatic art and getting additional training and experience performing east coast summer stock with the College Light Opera Company.
Since then, she has continued to train vocally with classical, musical Theater and jazz specialists, including Jim Toland, Karen Anderson, Jenny Matteuci, Daniel Lockert, Greta Matassa, Faith Winthrop, Sandy Cressman, and Raz Kennedy.
Her work with theater and opera companies includes 42 Street Moon, SF Lyric Theater, Golden Gate Opera, City Summer Opera, Live Oak Theater, among others, performing lead roles such as Cinderella, Into the Woods, Amalia, She Loves Me, Pamina, The Magic Flute, Despina, Cosi Fan Tutte, Gretel, Hansel and Gretel, and many supporting roles.
Dinner theater experience includes Max's Opera Café, SF, Nicolino's Opera show, Sunnyvale, La Tosca, Pranzi, Arrivaderci's, and many other restaurants and private clubs.
Concert work includes performing as a guest soloist with the Morrison Theater chorus, performing works that include the Bach Magnificat, Vivaldi's Gloria, and Poulenc's Gloria. She has also been employed for many years as a soloist for church services and weddings.
Cabaret and Jazz shows include several solo shows as a featured vocalist with the Denny Berthiaume trio at Angelica's Bistro, Redwood City, Zingari Jazz Lounge, SF, three solo shows at Society Cabaret, SF, many shows at the Saint Francis Yacht Club, many Performance Encore shows at the Bellevue Club in Oakland with the Benny Watson Jazz trio and the Cesar Cancino trio.
In January of 2019, Annemarie won first prize in her age category in the Sausalito Song Society's Song Competition.
As a followup to her successful cabaret show, "Gershwin and Friends", Annemarie has just completed the "Gershwin and Friends" CD! featuring songs by Gershwin and his closest song writing friends, including Harold Arlen and Rodgers and Hart. The CD also features the Ken Muir jazz trio with Noel Jewkes and Charlie McCarthy on Flute and Sax, also guitarist, Jeff Masanari.
Another CD project is also in the works, "First You Dream" which includes selections from Broadway and Cabaret Genres, is due to be released in 2022.
